Situated a few minutes from the Houhora Harbour at Houhora Heads and within 15 minutes of the famous 90 mile beach, it is ideally located for fishing, diving, surfing, hiking or simply relaxing. Rarawa Beach, Henderson Bay, Spirits Bay and East Beach are all breathtaking beaches within easy reach of this property. The amazing Cape Reinga & Te Paki sand dunes are approx 1hr 20 min on a sealed road.
Houhora Harbour is located on the East Coast of New Zealand, 40km north of Kaitaia on a sealed road. . Houhora promises you some of the best fishing in the country. The harbour has a fast flowing deep water channel where Snapper, John Dory, Kingfish, Kowhai and Trevalley can be caught right up to the wharf. Fishing can be done by boat or you can take advantage of the many excellent beach and rock fishing locations. Fishing charters can be arranged.
The very impressive Ninety Mile Beach is the home of the annual Snapper Classic, the popular fishing competition that is now considered to be the largest surfcasting event in the world. Therefore this is the perfect choice of accommodation for those who wish to take part in this world renowned event or for anyone wanting to partake in a spot of fishing at their leisure at any other time of the year. Really enjoyed our stay, was very quiet and a great place to relax after a day at the beach. Accommodation is very clean and the owners are lovely people. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Houhora.

Quiet and private location, only 15 minutes to the renowned 90 mile beach! Only 5 minutes to Houhora Heads beach and boat ramp. Approx 1hr 2o min to Cape Reinga & Te Paki sand dunes. A 4 square, cafe and bar, bottle store, fishing club with bar and bistro, are also within approx 5km.
