Gorgeous beach and Kapiti Island views (including awesome sunsets) from this family beach house to the West and the South, and the beautiful Tararua Ranges are seen from the Eastern Side. Safe swimming. Your boat can be launched from the beach for fishing expeditions. Long beach walks on a beach that is often all to yourself. Excellent beach for paddling and surfing the waves with a open kayak. Local tourist complex only 15 minutes drive and also, new ten pin bowling at Paraparaumu, Outlet Shops and boutiques in Otaki, Bush walks, Colourful Cafes and Art Galleries only a short distance by car. Have sun drenched days and bbq nights in the summer or curl up by the open fire in the winter months whilst listening to the roar of a big sea. Sleepout includes 2nd fridge, 2nd microwave. 2nd bathroom listed is actually a 2nd shower and 2nd toilet in the sleepout PLEASE NOTE THAT PRICING INCLUDES 15% GST TAX.

Also awesome in the winter when seas are raging and the open fire is soo.. cozy. Boats can be launched straight from the beach just a few minutes down the road. Many locals fish from boats a few km's from the beach. 2 outdoor tables etc with sun umbrellas and heaps of outdoor seating. Views of the Tararua mountains on one side and beautiful Kapiti sunsets on the other. Large patio and seating on one side of house with Gas BBQ and two new sets of french doors opening to new large deck on seaside of property by wood fired BBQ. Local cafes, outlet stores, golf clubs, horse riding lessons, beach horse treks, bush walks, 10 Pin Bowling nearby. TV with DVD player provided but not TV reception. Wow! Had such an awesome Easter here by the beach. A great place with fantastic views and so relaxing to just sit out on that deck with the sea right there in front of you. The kiddies really loved it here as well.

We used Breakaway as a base for our family before our recent family. The house was great it was everything we needed and more with a wonderful swimming beach. Would highly recommend.

Short drive to several funky cafes or upmarket restaurants. Fifteen minutes to Otaki town where many new Outlet shops draw visitors from Wellington to Palmerston North. Short drive to the Otaki Gorge at the start of walking tracks into the Tararua Ranges. Tourist park (Lindale) just 20 minutes drive. Paraparaumu beach and small city shopping, Ten Pin Bowling, scenic flights, horse treking only a short driving distance away. Only 50 minutes drive from Wellington City and 25 minutes from Porirua City.
